My wife and I recently contracted Kontz Construction to build a covered deck off of the back of our home. We were very happy from beginning to end. They were very professional. They had an architect to draw up all the plans and they handled all of the permits. Once the work started, they were very logistic in completing the job. There were very few lapses in work, mostly attributed to inspections. The workers were kind and courteous, and kept the worksite clean. HIRE THEM NOW! I can't say enough of Joe and his entire team at Kontz Construction. Joe helped fulfill our dream of jumpstarting our investment property portfolio. We purchased a townhome that was in need of extensive rehabilitation. He gave us an extremely fair quote and stuck to the exact budget not $1 over. The scope of work included a new HVAC system, adding a full bathroom, flooring, drywall, reno of existing bathroom, new kitchen, all new electrical wiring and more. I only visited the property less than 5 times because I trusted the work that was being done. I have had others in the housing industry tell me what a top notch job was done. This was our second time using Kontz Land and Home and they hit it out of the park! Again. Our kitchen remodel is BEAUTIFUL and perfect! Once again showed up on the date promised. How often does that happen with contractors? Expected a 3 week kitchen remodel to easily turn into 6 weeks with days they didn’t show up like we hear about contractors all the time. Not only were they done in 3 weeks as promised, they were here every day. Jose, Kevin, Francisco, Raoul…worked their tails off 6 days a week, 10-11 hours a day! One night worked outside in the dark by flashlight with an unexpected repair not related to the kitchen remodel! Any little issue that arose was taken care of immediately without a single complaint to us. No one works harder than these guys. No one! Their work ethic and talent is impressive! Joe was awesome to work with. I initially contacted him due to the practically unheard of 200+ 5-star reviews Kontz Construction has.We were in need of a roof replacement and needed it done ASAP, as we are having solar panels installed any day now. Joe was the only roofing contractor (out of the 3 I met with) who identified an issue with the way our dormers were previously flashed (and provided a remedy), the only one who suggested we replace the collars that go around all our vent pipes, and the only one who provided options in regard to upgrades (which he candidly weighed in on in terms of what is and isn't worth it). I really appreciated the straight-forwardness and professionalism, and I knew I had the right company. He was also very competitively priced.When you get a new roof, it's a major investment. Something I learned during my research is that the shingles themselves almost never fail, and any issues down the line are almost always due to improper installation (hence voiding any warranty from the shingle manufacturer). Joe offers a 10-year warranty on any issues that may arise down the road, which is amongst the longest duration. Moral of the story — make sure you hire someone with a proven track-record and a wake of satisfied customers. That's what I did, when I hired Joe, and I'm glad I did.He sent 2 crews, so our entire roof was replaced in only 1.5 days, which was fantastic. They worked very efficiently, left a clean worksite, and, upon completion, left our yard in great shape. We have a lot of landscaping, hardscaping, and obstacles that they skillfully managed to work around.Short story — If you're looking for a construction company, you can't go wrong with this one.I'm including a bunch of photos I took a few hours after they left, so you can see the complexity of our roofing project and the quality of their work. Our house is 4 stories high, with many dormers, valleys, peaks, and an octagon breakfast area. They just did an amazing job all around.

Kontz construction was a great choice to have our roof replaced. They bid a very reasonable price, addressed all of our concerns in a timely manner and were very responsive to any questions or concerns we had before, during, and after installation. Their staff was very friendly, polite, and professional. Joe is also always available to answer any questions personally. The only small thing we would have added would be for the crew foreman to introduce him/her self before the job so we knew who was the point of contact on site. We would definitely use Kontz again and recommend their service to our friends.

I used this contractor in late Spring and early Summer of 2021. The workers were great and outstanding. They replaced my roof, my siding, and renovated one bathroom for me. The whole project cost was fair. Still, I do not give it a five star simply because I'd like Mr. Joe to improve his customer service skills, especially when communicating with them. That's all.

My new roof and gutters look great. The roof color is exactly what my wife wanted. Joe Kontz was professional and listened to all my concerns when it came to this project. The estimate was timely, fair, and reasonable. The work was also done within the timeline I was provided which is important if you have a busy life and scheduling is important. Whole project took about 2 days and that is to cover a pretty large roof, front and back porches, a push out, and garage, with gutters on the main house. They even installed a ridge vent and chimney/roof cricket which helps with ice and snow in the winter. The crew did a great job cleaning up too and were respectful of my neighbors property as well. Important for maintaining good relationships. Very pleased with how this project turned out. Will definitely be giving Joe & Kontz a call when it's time to do the siding, and other future projects.

The next morning I received a call from Joe with a quote that I was completely satisfied with and was told within 1-3 days that they can come out & get the job done for me. We had Kontz install a new roof and gutters on our old house a few years ago, it still looks great and we haven’t had any issues so we had Kontz install a new roof on our current house. Dependable, knowledgeable, honest, very conscientious. Workers were polite.We had several estimates for our roof and Kontz had a better price even using better quality shingles. We had another roofer who unsuccessfully tried to fix a leak. We discussed this with Joe and he completely fixed it. No more leaks even through the torrential rain we had a week or so ago. The work that was going to be done and pricing was thoroughly explained and put in writing. Joe communicated date the work was to be done and it was. Would highly recommend.

After waiting more than two weeks to get quotes from other companies for the work we needed done, we reached out to Kontz Construction. Joe Kontz came out the next day and when he left, we had a quote in hand. Through out the process he responded to our questions almost immediately. This company was great to work with. Joe was quick to respond and had his crew out to start the work by the next week! The crew arrived on time and got right to work. They took care to protect my patio furniture, landscaping and even went out of the way to insure our newly paved driveway didn't get damaged when the delivery truck and dumpster arrived. I am so happy we used Kontz as our contractor! We talked to a few different contractors, but Kontz was the only one that was able to give us a reasonable price and begin work right away. Things are moving so slowly in the contracting world that I was shocked Kontz could begin right away. Chris and Caesar were awesome. Kontz Construction came highly recommended by a friend who recently used them for a roof when I noticed I had a leak in my roof. Joseph responded to my inquiry immediately, and was over here the next morning to check it out. He was quick to diagnose exactly what I needed and we scheduled my roof replacement right there and then. He helped me navigate my strict township rules and permit needed, as well as my HOA approval. Joe was a godsend,Our house was in very bad shape. Our deck had holes in it so we never invited people to our pool for fear they would hurt themselves. Our Porch roof was collapsing, Our roof was storm damaged and most of our windows couldn't stay open. We used Kontz Land and Home to do a large addition project this year. I can’t say enough great things about the service we received. The scope of the project was overwhelming to envision being done and I thought it was going to be hassle as they attached to our currnet residence. Joe was “Jimmy John’s” fast with his communications. I went to his website, filled out my info(got his name from my neighbor who had a roof installed by Joe) He texted me back in less than 5 minutes. Full kitchen renovation and new ceilings and lights in our downstairs. They came out and gave a solid estimate, and were able to get started pretty quickly. Kontz Land and Home completed my roof installation with the utmost in quality and workmanship. Although quotes from other companies were comparable, Joe recommended better shingles, gave me a 10 year labor warranty where others would only provide 5 and charged me less for replacement boards and 3 skylights that I wanted removed with the interior ceiling redone. His staff cleaned up thoroughly after they completed their work and were very courteous and respectful on the job. Joe Kontz is professional and communicative. He quickly provided us an estimate to replace our 20-year-old roof including repairing a dormer which our original builder failed to correctly flash. He came to our home to review the quote and we did not feel rushed to decide. He fully answered all our questions. He informed us of any additional costs that could arise, such as any plywood that needed to be replaced; he showed me the rotted 3 pieces of plywood that needed replacing as proof of the additional cost. Additionally, Joe does not request payment until the job is complete, not even a deposit! He runs an honest business!After dealing with several other roofers, we decided to have Kontz Construction do the job. His team was at our hone for about 8 hours and took the best possible care to tarp our plants and bushes surrounding our home. Although there was some damage to some of the plants, I do not know if that could have been prevented. They cleaned up well and after this weekend’s rain, we did not experience any leaking from the dormer that was repaired. I am confident that if issues occur, Joe will address them promptly.

From start to finish a top notch roofing job! We had to replace a 25+ year old roof. Two layers of shingles had to be removed and quite a few boards replaced. It was completed in one day! Highly recommend Kontz Land and Home! They helped us completely renovate the exterior of our 40-year-old house. This transformation included all new cedar siding, 20 new windows, 2 skylights, roof shingles, and gutters. The Kontz Team replaced the siding and gutters on our home. Joe Kontz personally worked with us every step of the way and was professional, on time, and delivered superior results! We ran into a couple unforeseen issues but being that Joe works with many professional teams, we were able to diagnose and fix all issues with little to no delays in the schedule. We used his electrician and construction teams and were impressed with all members of his crew! We are already planning our next project! From start to finish, we were beyond happy with the process and would highly recommend his company to anyone.

Joe was extremely thorough and responsive throughout the entire process from the initial estimate to the final installation of our roof and gutters. The crew arrived on time and completed the job all within the same day. They advertise thorough clean up and they really mean it as I struggled to find even a single nail or shingle in my yard. Great customer service, quality work and completed just in time before the big snow storms. Our roof has held up through it all and looks great! Will definitely be using Joe Kontz and his team with an upcoming siding project.

Did an amazing job with our bathroom remodel. Completely demoed the bathroom and hallway closet to create a walk in shower. Tile from floor to ceiling moved plumbing around etc. Guys were at the house and on time everyday. Everything went smoothly we had no issues. Great communication. Highly highly recommend to anyone thinking of a home renovation. Couldn’t be happier.

Joe and his team installed a beautiful new roof on my home in one day and at a price that was unbeatable. The roofing crew from Kontz Land & Home was professional, thorough and friendly. Replacing the roof on my home, including a new attic fan, was a big job and the crew stayed into the evening to ensure that it was completed in one day and did an awesome job of cleanup in the dark when the job was finished. The dumpster was removed early the next morning. A different crew arrived three days later to replace aging gutters and downspouts. Again the entire crew was professional, courteous and conscientious. From start to finish, I couldn’t have been more pleased. Joe was quick to reply to my initial inquiry and he gave me a fair price and his expert opinion on the best products for my projects. He also followed up with great communication, and his teams quickly and efficiently executed the projects with professional and quality workmanship. Thank you to Joe and both crews! Highly recommend!
